Star Trek Cast: Where Are They Now?

1. William Shatner

William Shatner Star Trek

William Shatner is among the most recognisable faces in all of Star Trek. He was the archetypical Starship Captain, leading the franchise from 1966 - 1994. While he has stepped away from appearing as Captain Kirk since then, he has remained active in the franchise ever since. He has crafted several documentaries about Star Trek, including the excellent Captains series.

He is an author, a director and actor in several other properties. He played TJ Hooker and would later appear as Denny Crane in both The Practice and Boston Legal.

Shatner has been vocal about his lack of interest in being a subject of fan adoration throughout the years. He has been blunt about how he views his time in the captains chair and about his interest in ever returning to the role. He managed to annoy/alientate most of his co-stars from one time or another (probably most notably with George Takei, where there remains animosity to this day.)

He is also a singer, having released several musical and spoken word albums throughout his career. He hosted vlogs and talk shows, along with several other documentaries, and continues to tour (pandemic depending) around the world.

He may be famous for his ascerbic and direct wit, but William Shatner has had a career spanning seven decades and looks to have no sign of stopping at all.
