Undoubtedly Discovery's biggest moment came when the Klingon's opened fire on the Federation, and the Shenzhou, backed by a fleet of their own, had to cope with the fallout.
There were actually a number of key names from Trek canon that came to Georgiou's assistance however, as the Radio Times pointed out earlier in the week. The USS Edison - featured in Star Trek: Armada II - takes part in the battle, as does the USS Yeager, which actually appeared in the criminally underrated Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Other ships of note include the USS Earhart and the Europa, with both titles having previously featured in various Star Trek novella.
Strangely enough, even though Archer's Enterprise was in action around the commencement of the Battle at the Binary Stars neither he or his ship make an appearance. Maybe CBS are saving them for a later occasion?
