Star Trek: Discovery 3.1 Review - Ups And Downs From That Hope Is You

7. There Is No Discovery! (Down)

Star Trek Discovery Season 3 Trailer
CBS

This is the only down in the first episode of the season. There is a total lack of Discovery in Star Trek: Discovery.

While this definitely seems like nitpicking, it is actually a sign of how iconic the ship has become, along with the crew on board. Saru, Tilly and the rest all contribute to the beating heart of this series, working together in harmony. Even when they don't!

The trailer for the season promises lots of excitement and fantastic visuals (seriously, dem visiuals, tho), including what looks to be a fantastic crash landing sequence with the Discovery. If it means handing a down to the first episode simply because the lack of the ship is sorely felt, then a down shall be handed!

However, judging by the photo of the ship impacted on the planet's surface, it looks like not only will the series be offering plenty of Discovery, but may also be running it through the ringer (when don't they?!) again!
