In the closing moments of "People of Earth", Tilly, Detmer, Nillson, Owosekun, Bryce, and Rhys are allowed to beam down to Earth where they visit the grounds of Starfleet Academy.

The establishing shot of San Francisco is a reworked version of previous vistas of Starfleet Headquarters from the Star Trek: Discovery episode "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2" and the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends", with new floating buildings, but nearly identical architecture.

The garden area where the Disco crew gets a moment of relaxation is identified in dialogue as Starfleet Academy, however it's actually a new addition to the CGI establishing shot, despite everyone claiming its been there for 1000 years.

As the camera pulls back and the episode ends, a yacht passes beneath the Golden Gate Bridge which is very similar to a concept "superyacht" designed by famous, 21st century architecture Zaha Hadid.
