Star Trek: Dr McCoy's 10 Point Guide To Being The Best Doctor In Starfleet

4: When Please Just Isn't Enough

Never underestimate the importance of the Kirk chop when you need to take down a patient quickly and quietly. Picking up tips from James T. Kirk, McCoy employs the most lethal move in Star Trek, the Kirk chop! In 'The City On The edge Of Forever,' McCoy uses a variation that is rarely seen, the ''double Kirk chop.'' He renders poor Commander Kyle unconscious with one chop to the lower back to stun him, and another to the neck to knock him out. Notice how precise the chops are. McCoy's Lesson: You wont always have a Hypospray to sedate a patient so you need to know how to knock them unconscious with minimum of fuss. With the double Kirk chop, you wont cause any long lasting damage and the most they will wake up with is a sore neck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NyFC2DKWJM
