Normally uttered when he was frustrated or annoyed with, some of the variations include ''I€™m a doctor, not a flesh peddler/moon shuttle conductor/ coal miner/escalator and bricklayer!'' The tradition carried on into later Star Trek series with both Dr Bashir in Deep Space Nine and The Doctor in Voyager using the catchphrase.
