Star Trek: Voyager is a mixed bag when it comes to fans – it’s like Marmite, you love it or you hate it. However, despite any personal feelings about the show, this Chief of Security was an engaging character who’s incredibly good at his job.

Being a Vulcan, Tuvok always performed his duties exactly and to the letter, while still allowing the emotion he tried so hard to suppress to guide him when it was necessary. He was a skilled fighter and made use of the Vulcan nerve pinch in times of need to neutralise his foes.

Admittedly, Tuvok lacked the compassion which other Chiefs of Security might have shown, though he always tried his best not to let his dependence on logic and lack of emotion stop him from doing his job.
