The Kaelons previously appeared in the TNG episode "Half a Life" in which Lwaxana Troi nearly caused an interplanetary incident when she fell in love with one of their people, doomed to forced euthanasia and... well this is yet another appearance in Lower Decks by a one-hit wonder from the Star Trek Universe.
