Gagh first appeared in TNG's second season episode "A Matter of Honor" but went on to be a staple of gross Klingon food, showing up Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise. Gagh was also apparently served aboard the Enterprise-A in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country where it appeared to be turquoise in color, instead of the traditional red or purplish.

The mek'leth wielding Klingon merchant in "Envoys" is selling several colors of gagh, including the turquoise Undiscovered Country variety.
