Star Trek Lower Decks: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Second Contact'

10. Star Tour

Still more touring of the USS Cerritos gives us a great look at the ship's very TNG-styled corridors.

Like the exterior of the ship, the Cerritos' interior spaces are closely modeled on late-80s and 90s Trek starships like the Enterprise-D and Voyager... carpeted, brightly lit, comfortable "Hilton in space"-type vessels.

The sound effects throughout the ship are pulled directly from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, again reminding us that this show is set only a few years after the USS Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant and the events of Star Trek Nemesis.

Mariner's half assed tour of the ship highlights a room with switches and dials that's actually a pretty important processing hub and the pattern-buffer maintenance access room – vital technology established in TNG, used to bring back Scotty in "Relics".
