After Boimler's injured during his encounter with the giant suckling butt-web-shooting spider cow, Mariner tells him "You’ll be fine. Doc will wave a light over it.”

This is, of course, a reference to the many medical instruments we've seen in Star Trek that amount to exactly that: A prop with some LEDs built into (see all those times on Star Trek: Voyager when the Holo Doc used a light-up vegetable peeler to cure the crew).
