Star Trek: Picard - 6 Ups & 3 Downs From Nepenthe

2. Hugh

Hugh Picard
CBS

Just a short point to say that, yes, Hugh's narrative did feel like it had completed itself. However the strength of Del Arco's performance and the importance of the character felt like there was still a lot for him to offer this show. Having him killed off so unceremoniously, and as little more than a point of divergence for Elnor and Narissa, felt like a misstep.

Like Icheb and Maddox before him, Picard's links to the ghosts of Star Trek past feel almost too easily discarded at times.
