Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Nepenthe'

5. The Ready Room On CBS All Access

Troi suggests Picard pretend the family dining room is the ready room of the Enterprise and they'll find a way forward together. The Captain's ready room aboard the Enterprise-D was the setting for numerous debates, ethical conversations, and mission briefings in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

At dinner, Soji finally opens up about the memory Narek attempted to coax out of her and she describes the two red moons and sky full of lightning she saw in her dream in "The Impossible Box".

Apparently while all this is happening, Kestra is texting Captain Crandall, which is probably fine given he's older than Picard and Kestra is quite young. Anyway, according to Kestra, Crandall has been everywhere from Qo'noS (the Klingon homeworld) to Tyken's Rift (see TNG's "Nigh Terrors"), but his ship, the Inside Straight is kinda broken.

Still, Crandall knows the planet that may or may not be Soji's birth place and also synth "nest": It's in the Ghulion system in the Vayt sector, but it doesn't have a name, only a number.
