10. Earl Grey Tea

For all of Jean-Luc Picard's distinctive character traits, one of the most emphatic is his oft-repeated love of Earl Grey tea, or rather - "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot."

And so of course, how could they resist having Picard slurp a cup of the hot stuff in this new series? A mere 10 minutes into the season premiere, Picard asks for an Earl Grey tea, albeit with an amusing twist - he asks for decaf.

If it's not a health thing, it surely speaks to Picard's life being decidedly less hectic than in his prime.

This isn't the only time Earl Grey is namedropped during the episode, though: after first encountering Dahj, he brings her a cup and adds, "Earl Grey. Never fails."
