Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Remembrance'

The season premiere wasted no time at all throwing out the fan service.

The episode opens with a dream sequence featuring Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Data (Brent Spiner), set to the Bing Crosby version of the iconic song "Blue Skies," which was of course famously sung by Data in Star Trek: Nemesis during Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Troi's (Marina Sirtis) wedding.

What makes the use of the Bing Crosby version extra cute, however, is that Crosby was the grandfather of Denise Crosby, who memorably played The Next Generation's ill-fated Security Chief Tasha Yar in its first season (and made periodic returns as Yar's half-Romulan daughter Sela).
