Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Stardust City Rag'

Quark makes a sneaky appearance...

We're already halfway through season one of Star Trek: Picard and Seven of Nine finally joins us for a whole episode. And then, sadly, leaves us.

"Stardust City Rag", Jonathan Frakes' second directorial gig on Star Trek: Picard, opens up the Star Trek Universe with its own version of the Vegas strip (or maybe just Reno), fills us in on the missing twenty years of exploits for the ex-drone, and finally gets Picard, Raffi, Rios, Agnes, and Elnor to Freecloud – a planet so full of easter eggs and references, they wouldn't even fit into Picard's nostalgia vault.

Side note: Patrick Stewart is having more fun here than in any other episode of Star Trek and we challenge you find a better line reading than "You will not see more LIKE HER".

Grab both of your phaser rifles and lets charge headfirst into "Stardust City Rag".

12. Eye-cheb

Instead of the standard Star Trek: Picard flashback set 14 years ago, "Stardust City Rag" opens with a flashback to planet Vergessen... 13 years ago. Here, we see a young Starfleet officer having an eye ripped out and it's quickly revealed that this is Icheb, one of the children of the Borg from the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Collective".

Icheb was the only Borg kid to return with Voyager to the Alpha Quadrant and developed a strong bond with Seven of Nine. In the episode "Imperfection", Icheb actually donated his cortical node to save Seven's life, which explains why the butcherer in this episode can't seem to find it.

In "Stardust City Rag" Icheb is played by Casey King though the character was originally played by Manu Intiraymi in Star Trek: Voyager. This isn't the only legacy character that's been recast for this episode, but feel free to check out the new actor's Instagram. New Icheb's got abs.
