Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'The Impossible Box'

Plenty of boxes in "The Impossible Box"... the Borg cube, Soji's head, and of course Narek's Romulan Rubik's Cube, the tan zhekran.

After Soji activates, Narek leaves his puzzle box with her and it opens and begins releasing a red, radiation, gas that would ostensibly kill the android girl. The release of the gas is similar to the release of thalaron radiation by a chachki left in the Romulan Senate at the beginning of Star Trek Nemesis.

Soji gets a way by clawing through the wooden flooring and leaping between decks aboard the Artifact and this is why we don't put wood floors in space ships.
