Star Trek Picard: Every Season One Death Ranked

Sutra's late appearance in Picard was something of a shock, given that she was effectively the third of the Asha twins only with a look far more reminiscent of their "father" Data. She should have been a great character, in that respect, but she ended up being an attempted agent of the apocalypse thanks to her fears for synthetics.

Typically, you'd expect this sort of wayward idealist to be the main villain of a show (particularly a show like Star Trek), but her death in the finale ends up proving her point rather majestically that synth life is entirely vulnerable at the hands of non-synthetics.

She dies for her sins before they're even able to properly come to pass as Soong discovers her betrayal of Saga and deactivates her for it, quipping that she is no better than those she fears. It's a nice moment for Soong, but it cuts Sutra's arc short a little unfortunately.
