Star Trek: Prodigy Teaser Trailer Breakdown: 10 Biggest Talking Points
2. Look At That Bridge Window
The interior of the Protostar looks a lot more advanced than Voyager did, though it is appropriately equipped with blue LCARS-style computer controls.
Since Prodigy is set five years after Voyager, it's likely the Protostar is intended to be an evolution of Starfleet design, though the ship doesn't appear to have the holographic interfaces that distinguish the late-24th century starships of Star Trek: Picard.
What the Protostar does have, though, is a giant window view screen, a controversial aesthetic change made with JJ Abrams' Kelvin Timeline films and carried through to Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, and presumably Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
