Star Trek: Starfleet's Most Badass Ships

Ablative armour-enhanced USS Voyager

Voyager The USS Voyager had some cool moments and features, but despite all the gusto of its crew (Captain Janeway standing down the Borg Queen like she was an inconvenience) it was never €˜badass€™. That is, until its final episode. I€™m not a big fan of Star Trek Voyager and I hated the way it treated the Borg. That being said, in Endgame it the ship had one badass moment. The arrival of the future Admiral Janeway gives the crew the technology to fit the ship with ablative enhanced armour designed to fight off the Borg. Sure it€™s a cheat, using future armour to defeat the Borg in the present€but it€™s a chance to let the Borg have a taste of their own medicine. (Star Trek: First Contact) But you know what? It looks cool. It gives Voyager teeth. And it allows Voyager to effectively (and for the first time realistically) take on the Borg in an effort to find the way home.
