Star Trek: Starfleet's Most Badass Ships

The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D / All Galaxy Class starships

trektrektrek The Enterprise E may have the edge on design. The original Enterprise (and A) may have been the most loved. But there was one thing this flagship of Star Trek: The Next Generation had on all the other Enterprises. A battle bridge Yes, this ship may look like a galactic hotel at times with its laid-back lounge bridge and Ten Forward, but when it needed to, this ship really kicked ass. It had state of the art weaponry. It went head to head against Romulan Warbirds on numerous occasions. It has the cool, diplomatic nerve of Jean Luc Picard as Captain. But it was also two ships for the price of one. Its most badass moment is the rescue of Picard from the Borg in Best Of Both Worlds. The Enterprise splits into two, Riker leading the nacelle section from the battle bridge, Shelby harassing the Borg cube with a barrage of phaser blasts from the saucer section, all so that Worf and Data can get close enough in a shuttlecraft to capture Locutus. But it doesn€™t just stop there. In Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Galaxy class starships were the big guns in the war. These giants led the ways in the battles at Chintoka; blasting enemy mines and ships alike. And in that episode Sacrifice Of Angels we see them at their best. A wave of Galaxy Class starships plough into enemy lines, blasting Cardassian warships with ease. Two ships or one. The Galaxy Class starships are not to be messed with!
