Star Trek: Starfleet's Most Badass Ships

The USS Vengeance

USS_Vengeance Badass in name and nature. That was the sole purpose of this €˜Dreadnought class€™ starship, and in its one and only appearance in Star Trek Into Darkness, it certainly delivers. It looks like a nightmare version of the Enterprise-E. It has protective armour plating. It can fire on other ships while in warp. It is faster than any other Federation Starship of its time. It has swivel-mounted torpedo launches. It can launch a drone that in turns releases several proton torpedos before hitting its target. Oh, and it was designed by Khan Noonien Singh. The USS Vengeance was a ship built to reflect its creative mind. Faster and more powerful than its enemies, it was the coined effort Khan and the shadowy organisation Section 31 (A black ops intelligence that first appeared in Star Trek during the murky waters of Deep Space Nine) to fight Klingons. And Klingons, as everyone knows, are badass. Vengeance Weapomns It€™s a bit of a shame that we never got to see the USS Vengeance go toe to toe with the Klingons to prove its worth. However, it did prove to be a formidable threat to the USS Enterprise, leaving it a floating wreck in the space of one short skirmish. It took 72 armed torpedos beamed on board to disable this ship and even then that wasn€™t the end for this beast. There was enough ship left for Khan to send it crashing into Starfleet head quarters with spectacular death and carnage as a result. It might have only had one film to shine, but this badass ship certainly went out in style€
