Star Trek: Voyager - 10 Most Anxiety-Inducing Episodes
3. Year Of Hell Parts 1 & 2
Cue more badass Janeway and another brilliant Voyager two-parter. Thanks to a Krenim timeship hell-bent (no pun intended) on wiping out specific species and changing history, Voyager experiences constant attacks for almost a year, with each attack leading to more damage and more crew deaths.
The ship is almost unrecognisable and the crew struggle to keep it intact and functioning. The constant attacks begin to take their toll as eventually only a few crewmembers are left and the ship becomes a dark, practically destroyed space where hope cannot exist.
Eventually, Janeway orders all remaining crew to abandon ship while she stays onboard to ram the Krenim timeship, wiping it from existence and changing the history that brought it into existence in the first place. It resets the timeline and gives us one of the most badass Janeway moments ever.
The image of her sitting on a ruined bridge alone, dirty, and sweating, muttering those fatal words "time's up" are forever burned into the memory of Voyager fans. It's Janeway at her badass best.
