Star Wars: 10 Reasons Why Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi Is Awesome

1. The Terrific Story And What It Adds To Obi Wan

Finally, at the end of the day, this TV show just had one job. The same job every TV drama has: tell a good story. And rejoice, that's just what Obi-Wan Kenobi did.

As both a gloriously satisfying and deeply heartfelt tale of the beloved titular's character spiritual recovery from his past trauma, and a compelling expansion of Star Wars lore - through its exploration of the Empire era and addition of new dimensions to many established characters - Obi-Wan Kenobi succeeds with flying colours.

For all you fellow Prequel kids, this is one hell of a nostalgia trip, but thanks to the on-point emotional beats and well-crafted, (mostly) well-structured storytelling, this is also a show with a huge heart and a wonderful sense of pathos running through it.

It's also a work that more than justifies its own existence, as it adds layers to Obi-Wan's character that were never there before.

As a result, this stands tall and mighty as one of the finest Disney+ shows to date. Unlike certain other things from the Disney era of Star Wars - Solo, Book of Boba Fett, looking at both of you - Obi-Wan Kenobi is a trip to a galaxy far, far away that's most definitely worth taking.
