Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 6 Review

Final Thoughts

Star Wars Clone Wars As is traditional for The Clone Wars, this last batch of episodes is a bit of a mixed bag. We've got the great, the good, and the disappointing. Every season has its low moments and Season 6 is no different. What drags it down is that the tone is inconsistent with a mix of stories that are leading towards the end of the War, and more middle of the road ones that could be slotted in pretty much anywhere. Having said that, this should be expected since Season 6 a collection of what was left over when the show was cancelled and not a fully planned out season. Despite it being a bit thrown together, it's a decent season and while it may not be the quality and consistency we'd want for the show's swansong, it does a fair job of wrapping things up. We've seen the first casualty of Order 66, Ahsoka's still out of the picture which fits with Revenge Of The Sith's continuity, and we've been given the Yoda stuff that ties the show and films together more as bonus. Though a token appearance by General Grievous wouldn't have gone amiss since he's such a big part of Revenge Of The Sith. But as the current end to the Prequel era on TV and Film (anyone who cheers at that will be fed to the Rancors), it does what we need it do and brings closure to one hell of a ride. Thankfully it's not over just yet. Now we just have to wait until May and the much awaited continuation of Darth Maul's story. And who knows, maybe we'll see The Clone Wars return someday. But until then, we've got more than 100 episodes, one film, and everything else that's to come to keep us going. This story is ending but the next one is just beginning. May the Force be with you...
