Star Wars: Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 12 - 4 Ups & 3 Downs From "Victory And Death"

6. Down - The Rest Of The Cast

Since Victory and Death takes place during Revenge of the Sith, we already knew that many Clone Wars characters would be too busy elsewhere to appear. However, most of them never even get a name drop.

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi drive the first few seasons as the closest things Clone Wars had to "leads." Though Anakin has a quick cameo (more on that later), Obi-Wan sits out of the series finale entirely. We know that he and Anakin are currently battling on Mustafar, but some acknowledgement of that would have been nice. Obi-Wan's final appearance in all of Clone Wars is as a hologram in a brief scene in The Phantom Apprentice. He deserves a better animated swan song than that.

Clone Wars had to end with Ahsoka, the series' most prominent original character. Mentioning her friends would have better honoured their time in the show, ending it as the ensemble piece it always was.
