Star Wars: Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 12 - 4 Ups & 3 Downs From "Victory And Death"

5. Down - So Little Dialogue

Star Wars Clone Wars

Clone Wars has had some great spoken lines throughout its run. Its often fast-paced dialogue drove the plot, helped with characterization, and made us laugh.

However, Victory and Death has very little dialogue. The characters rarely speak, which is especially frustrating since this is likely the last time we'll ever hear Ashley Eckstein, Dee Bradley Baker, and Sam Witwer as Ahsoka, Rex, and Maul.

The episode's final line, aside from some inaudible Stormtrooper mumbling, comes at around the fifteen minute mark, making the final eight minutes feel like A Quiet Space. Not only that, but the line is an unceremonious "Come on!" from Rex.

Though Kevin Kliner's score, which takes over when the dialogue stops, is as beautiful as ever, it would have been nice to hear our characters share some wisdom one last time.
