Star Wars Rebels Season 3: 20 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

Seen amongst the Rebel fleet in both Secret Cargo and Zero Hour, is a Dornean gunship. The craft was first designed as a mere background vessel for the Death Star battle in Return of the Jedi, but was barely seen. The Rebels team resurrected the old design and gave it a proper animation model, which is the same model that was used to insert it into the Battle of Scarif for Rogue One.

Other ships to make their debut in this season of Rebels was of course, the TIE Defender that makes its way to the official canon, but also a Mon Calamari capital ship. As the Rebel fleet gathers over Dantooine in Secret Cargo, the ship captained by the famous Admiral Ackbar can be seen amongst them.

It’s a shame we didn’t get a cameo.
