Star Wars: The Bad Batch - 8 Ideas It Must Explore

7. Closure For Commander Cody

Commander Cody was a prominent character in the Clone Wars, but despite this he is yet to receive the same kind of closure as his clone brethren.

Cody, who served under Obi-Wan Kenobi in the 212th, was last seen hunting his Jedi General on Utapau following Order 66. It has been revealed that he was considered for a return in Star Wars Rebels – brought in by Grand Admiral Thrawn to hunt The Ghost Crew - but for one reason or another it never came to pass.

If this idea were to be recycled, we could maybe see a similar situation in The Bad Batch. If the Bad Batch run into trouble with the new Empire, Cody could be sent to apprehend them. This would create a nice parallel to those loyal soldiers that follow orders and those that think for themselves, something that has been a recurring theme in the animated Star Wars shows.

As The Bad Batch is a sequel/spin-off to The Clone Wars, it would only be fitting to see Cody return and finally have a conclusion for his character.
