Stargate: Every Villain Ranked Worst To Best

7. Replicators

The Replicators resembled Mechano Building Blocks that have a life of their own, a murderous, all consuming life of their own. The Replicators came from the depths of space to challenge the technological might of the Asgard and for a long time, looked like they would wipe out the ancient civilisation. They adapted to all technology that was used against them by absorbing it and replicating it within themselves. They consumed every natural resource on a planet or a ship in order to replicate more and more blocks.

Even a single Replicator block posed a dire threat to any sentient life that opposed it, since from the smallest starting point, they could replicate endlessly. The Asgard noted that their methods of fighting the Replicators were too set in their technological mindset. Their only solution was to come up with more and more advanced technology, which the Replicators would then turn against them. In their despair, the Asgard turned to their new allies; Earth.

Humans possessed a crude ingenuity that the Asgard thinking had long left behind. Samantha Carter was able to outwit the Replicators and lure them into a trap on one occasion and human projectile weapons were far more effective than any energy weapon against them. The Replicators posed a threat to entire galaxies at a time and it was only with monumental co-operation between the SGC, the Tok'ra, the Asgard and even Ba'al, that they were defeated.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
