Stranger Things: 10 Best Supporting Characters
8. Murray Bauman
Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) made his Stranger Things debut during the show’s second season as a private investigator hired to find out what happened to fan-favoured character Barbara Holland (who'll make an appearance later on this list).
Though he's exceedingly good at what he does, able to get to the bottom of almost any mystery he sets his mind to, his rather eccentric personality and deep belief in conspiracy theories has made him somewhat of an outcast. Although it's hard not to be seen as odd when you have a CCTV camera outside your front door.
As strange and mistrusting as he is, Murray's heart is always in the right place. He aspires to do the right thing and is driven by a sense of justice. And while his goal of gaining justice for Barb instantly made him a sympathetic and likeable new addition to the show, it wasn't until he formed a meaningful relationship with Russian scientist Alexei that viewers got to see the true Murray.
He had finally found somebody who he could laugh and connect with. The pair were as thick as thieves until Alexei's heart-breaking death where fans felt every ounce of Murray's pain.
