Stranger Things: 10 Best Supporting Characters
5. Suzie
She may only have appeared for the briefest of moments during the climax of the third season, but Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) was responsible for delivering the most magical and unforgettable moment of Stranger Things to date.
When Dustin returned from summer camp in the third season, he was excited to share the news with his friends that he had a girlfriend. Her name is Suzie, he tells them. She’s from Utah and she’s “a genius hotter than Phoebe Cates”.
Understandably, his friends are sceptical about the existence of this seemingly perfect dream girl. And when Dustin is unable to contact her via his radio, their (and our) suspicions are only raised.
However, during a tense climax, Suzie finally responds to Dustin’s call for help, surprising everyone. Dustin needs to know Plank’s Constant (a mathematical equation) for a code. Suzie knows what it is, but she requires something in return first.
That something is a musical duet between her and her Dusty-Bun of the theme song to The Never Ending Story. It’s a joyously uplifting moment in an otherwise bleak situation that gives everyone the hope they need to see their mission through.
All we want is more Suzie (and duets) in season four.
