3. Eleven Returns (Chapter 8)

Easily the most divisive aspect of Stranger Things' second season is the fact that Eleven is kept apart from the boys for eight of the season's nine episodes, only being reunited with them at the tail-end of episode eight.

Still, the moment is certainly milked for all the emotion it's worth, both at the end of this episode and the beginning of the finale, with Eleven being warmly embraced by the group, while Mike is naturally infuriated at Jim for hiding her away all this time.

It's the series' most emotionally fraught sequence and is superbly executed, even if it took way, way too freaking long to get there.
