Although there are a lot of unanswered questions and mysteries to be cleared up, Season 2 is still going to need a central plot line to run through the extended season (nine episodes rather than eight).

While the first had various things going on, it was structured around Will's disappearance and the search to get him back, with everything else spinning off from that. So what form will Season 2 take? It'd be easy for them to just repeat the formula, but does that mean we're just going to have another disappearance mystery? Or are they really going to change things up? Perhaps rather than someone disappearing to the Upside Down, the season will focus more on characters willingly going there, though given they want to keep the same feel, you'd imagine it'll still need a big sense of mystery to go with it.
