In addition to the incredible production values and remarkable acting, Stranger Things' third season is often kept aloft by the behind-the-camera craft, namely the work of not only the Duffer brothers, but also fellow directors Uta Briesewitz and Shawn Levy.

There's a clear consistency across their work here, but it never feels like the filmmakers have been forced to fit into a staid "house style", as is so apparent on most of the Marvel Netflix shows.

There are so many individually incredible shots throughout these eight episodes, not to mention some terrifically sharp cuts between scenes, ensuring that even in its lesser moments, the show has an unmistakable cinematic flair that separates it from its genre brethren.
