Stranger Things Season 3 Review: 6 Ups & 6 Downs

2. Robin Is The Best New Addition

Though most of the new cast members sadly aren't served very well, there's one notable addition who instantly becomes one of Stranger Things' most likeable characters.

And that's Robin (Maya Hawke), the girl Steve (Joe Keery) works with at the mall's ice cream shop, Scoops Ahoy.

Between her relaxed chemistry with Steve and deeply sarcastic demeanour, she's a major breath of fresh air, serving as a fine foil for just about everyone she encounters, hero or villain.

It doesn't hurt that she's played by the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman and has the acting chops to match, elevating Robin beyond too-cool-for-school cliches and ensuring she's by turns charming, hilarious and eventually vulnerable.
