5. The Callbacks

Given its unique '80s aesthetic, one thing that Stranger Things tends to thrive on its penchant for callbacks and references - most of which are specific to that very decade. That being said, the new Season 3 trailer was overflowing with a different kind of callbacks.

The gang surrounded by evil as they huddle together inside the log cabin? Eleven struggling to maintain her powers in a dark flickering corridor? Heck, the sight of her holding both hands up as she did so? All of these shots are instantly recognisable nods to some of the previous two seasons' most memorable moments - nods that undoubtedly brought smiles to the faces of the show's die-hard fans.

A subtle but effective method of reminding us what we have to look forward to, it leaves us all wondering if we'll be treated to even more of these little Easter Eggs throughout the season.
