1. Spoiling Billy's Purpose In The Season

If fans learned anything from the season's first trailer, it was that Hawkins' resident bully, Billy Hargrove, was destined for some dark days. That being said, while they did see him cradling a dark spider-like vein on his arm, they were never clued into how he actually obtained the mark or what it even meant (other than the fact that it was clearly related to the Upside Down) - and that was totally fine.

The new trailer, however, wasn't so secretive, as it spilled the beans on the matter, confirming that Billy will unwittingly cross paths with the Mind Flayer, and will essentially become this season's Will as he is manipulated to do the shadow monster's bidding.

It might seem a little unfair to judge Stranger Things for confirming something that most of us already suspected, but since we're in an era where film and TV studios are obsessed with spoiling some of their products' biggest twists in a trailer, it may have been wiser to keep the ambiguity alive until the season was actually released.
