Stranger Things Season 4: 10 Crazy Fan Theories That Could Happen

9. The Return Of Eleven's Powers

Toward the end of season 3 Eleven had to forcefully remove one of the Mind Flayer’s parasites from her leg, which ultimately resulted in her losing her telekinetic powers. Since the Mind Flayer is very much based on the concept of the illithid, a race of mind controlling creatures from Dungeons and Dragons, this makes sense. You see, whenever an illithid plants a tadpole in the mind of a victim, that victim is granted psionic powers until the little slug is removed.

But since Stranger Things has only taken inspiration from this classic monster, there aren’t any hard and fast rules already associated with its incorporation of the Mind Flayer. This means that we could very well see Eleven returning to her rightful place as the telekinetic teenager of Hawkins. And we can’t think of anything better for Millie Bobby Brown, who riled fans up last season with the focus being more on her, well… annoying teenage side.

Currently living with the Byers family in an undisclosed location, Eleven will likely set forth on a journey of self-discovery, learning precisely how to overcome obstacles and dangers without relying on her powers. Upon learning that Hopper is still alive though, the time will finally come to regain what she lost and use her new found confidence to rip apart some nightmarish creatures.

At least, that's how the theory goes.
