Supergirl: 6 Ups And 4 Downs From Episode 2 'Stronger Together'

1. Up - Melissa Benoist

It was a big plus point from the pilot, but one that's really worth repeating again here. Melissa Benoist has been given an awfully big task of leading this show, with a lot of expectation on her shoulders, and she is handling it superbly. In a world of superheroes that's mostly dominated by the dark and the gritty, and almost wholly men, she feels like a real breath of fresh air. She's fun to watch as the awkward Kara, but also great when she puts on that suit and has to become Supergirl, and balances the two in a way that feels right for this show. She's the very centre of this series, and is doing everything asked of her so far. There's the dramatic moments, the action, the lighter scenes. Benoist handles all of it really well, and the good thing is she can surely only continue to get better as the series progresses. What did you think of Stronger Together?
