Supergirl: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
9. Brainiac-5
Introduced alongside the returning Mon-El and his wife Saturn Girl, Brainiac-5 was undoubtedly the most unorthodox member of the Legion of Superheroes. But that right there, made him its most interesting.
A 12th-level intellect, Querl Dox (let's just call him "Brainy") quickly formed an endearing friendship with present-day intellect Winn Schott, as the pair went out of their way to prove how effective they were at their jobs, completely oblivious to the fact that they were incredibly similar. And that would ultimately influence his future on the show, as Winn's departure (to travel to the future and save the A.I.s) left Team Supergirl without their resident whiz kid.
Unable to return to the future, Brainy took Winn's place on the team and, in doing so, has become one of the show's most enjoyable characters. Providing us with probability and facts, the character's matter-of-fact approach has paved the way for a number of hilarious moments, while his surprising journey towards discovering his inner-humanity has been a revelation.
Jesse Rath has illustrated on a number of occasions just how strong a performer he is, and long may he continue to do so as this techno-organic wonder.
