Supergirl: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
2. Cat Grant
National City is full of aliens, metahumans and some of the deadliest threats in the multiverse, and yet none of them are as larger-than-life as Cat Grant. That's right, the show's 'Queen of all media' may have only been a regular part of the show for its debut season, but she made such an unforgettable impression that it's hard to enjoy the show without her.
At times, she was as off-the-wall as they came as she gave Meryl Streep a run for her money as the world's deadliest boss, while at others, she was a well-rounded and surprisingly human character who loved her sons and championed Supergirl above all else.
In spite of her cold exterior, Cat was, without a doubt, the Girl of Steel's biggest supporter, while the love/hate relationship she had with Kara provided fans with some of the most touching (and hilarious) moments of the entire show - and this ultimately allowed her to be a mentor to Supergirl on all fronts.
Calista Flockhart was nothing short of a revelation on-screen and, no matter how good Supergirl continues to get, it will be worse-off without her show-stealing presence.
