At several points throughout Supergirl's run, we've seen Kryptonite brought into play or referenced. After the famed green rock is used to weaken and torture Astra here, could it be that the totally-not-safe-to-Kryptonians mineral begins to play a larger part in the future of Supergirl? Kryptonite has been a major hindrance to both Supergirl and Superman over the years, and one has to think that surely Max Lord has some sort of green rock-fuelled plan of attack lined up for the future.
