The action scenes have generally been rather impressive so far on the show (leaving some of the wonkier special effects to one side), such as the fight between Kara and Alura last week, and here our hero gets into a few good scrapes with the villain Reactron. Admittedly they all follow the same formula, of him blasting her with his nuclear energy, her using speed and strength to overcome him, but that didn't make it any less fun to watch, and the way things ended - with her encasing her hand in lead and ripping the core out of his chest - was pretty awesome. It's only the third week, so you'd imagine that hopefully the bigger and best stuff is yet to come, and at the rate it's going we should be in for some really impressive fight scenes and action sequences in the weeks and months ahead. What did you make of this week's Supergirl? Share your thoughts in the comments.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
