Supergirl Season 4: 4 Ups & 1 Down From 'The House Of L'
Ups...
4. Starting Strong
Though most of 'The House Of L' would be spent taking us back through the season, that didn't stop it from picking up right where the show left off last week.
As Lex got formally introduced to Supergirl (in mid-air), he exited his helicopter and immediately donned his iconic war suit from the comics. From there, the two engaged in an aerial battle that, naturally, the Girl of Steel dominated. Well, at least she did, until they landed on the roof of the Daily Planet and Lex managed to stop one of her right hands - revealing that Lena's drug had indeed blessed him with superpowers.
The show wouldn't return to the present until the episode's conclusion and, as great as the in-between flashbacks were, this opening was so good that it instantly made viewers want to see the continuation of this battle instead.
Though it was brief, it was certainly effective in that it was a brilliant way to maintain the momentum from last week's magnificent episode while setting the stage for an even better encounter in the future.
