Supergirl Season 4: 5 Ups & 1 Down From 'All About Eve'

3. Burying The Hatchet

Lena's recent run-in with her brother allowed both her and the show to address her season-long concern surrounding the creation of the Harun-El drug. Fearful that Supergirl, whom she had plenty of altercations with last season, would ridicule her methods, she had been keeping it a secret for the majority of the season. But now that Lex had procured all of her research, she knew it was only a matter of time until the truth came out - and when she agreed to work with Alex and Supergirl, that's exactly what happened.

However, in a pleasant turn of events, the two powerful women did not turn on each other. While Supergirl was ready to ridicule, some insight from Alex allowed her to see the error of her ways and, with that, she apologised. But Kara wasn't just apologising for getting angry on this occasion, she apologised for mistrusting Lena in the past and, in extension, apologised for the decline of their friendship.

One accepted apology later and the pair were enemies no more, bringing an end to an arc that had been present for almost a full year. After building up Lena's fears for so long, the writers had viewers convinced that there was going to be more unnecessary drama between them when the truth was revealed, but this proved to be a nice subversion of all our expectations.

It's been far too long since Supergirl and Lena were on the same page and, after this week, it appears that Lex is going to find out just how formidable this dynamic duo really is.
