Supergirl Season 4: 6 Major Questions We Have After The Midseason Premiere
1. How Will Kara Cope Without Having Alex To Turn To?
The midseason premiere's closing moments were undoubtedly its most heartbreaking. Alex's selfless decision to erase all memories that include Kara's identity as Supergirl (in order to protect her sister from Haley's relentless attempts to discover the truth) not only shocked the Girl of Steel, it broke her.
As we saw in the show's very first episode, Alex has been a part of Kara's superheroics since the very beginning. In fact, as Kara so eloquently put it, she was the reason she became Supergirl in the first place. So it doesn't take a genius to figure out that she's definitely going to struggle without being able to share that part of her life with her sister.
Having said that, this will allow the show to move into uncharted territory, significantly changing up the dynamic between its purest team. As Supergirl, Kara will be nothing more than a former colleague (or maybe even an annoyance) to Alex, but as her sister, she will now have to lie every day and pretend that the pair never shared so many incredible adventures together. But will she able to hold out for a long period of time and, will Alex's sudden memory blanks begin to cause trouble for the pair, their relationship and Kara's secret identity?
