Supergirl Season 4: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'

4. All About Eve

Supergirl Miss Eve Teschmacher
The CW

Oh Miss Teschmacher... what would Cat Grant say if she could see you know?

Without a doubt, the biggest shock of the episode came when Lex, having utilised the services of Otis Graves, shouted "MISS TESCHMACHER" at the top of his voice just as CatCo's former secretary waltzed into the room with a gun. It was a stunning turn of events that few saw coming, but the beauty of it is that, if you look back, you can actually see that these events have been in motion for quite some time.

Ever since debuting on the show in Season 2, Eve Teschmacher hasn't had much to do outside of fetching coffees and panicking whenever she heard her name bellowed out by her former boss. This season, however, she's had an increased role, helping Lena work on the Harun-El. But it was executed in such a subtle fashion that we never even realised what it was all building up to.

Not only is this the kind of well-paced storytelling that we should be seeing more of in the Arrowverse, it's also fulfilling to see the character play a major role after being under-appreciated for far too long. Andrea Brooks has been a joy to watch as the bubbly and meek "Miss Teschmacher!", so it's undoubtedly going to be fun seeing how she tackles the formidable role of Lex Luthor's right-hand woman.

Given Eve's on-screen history with Lex, this was a stroke of genius.
