Cat Grant is the face and brains behind CatCo, the media enterprise where Kara works as her assistant. Ally McBeal is doing her best Meryl Streep impression, as the feisty boss that you don't want to cross, while Kara serves the Anne Hathaway role as the slightly hapless and put-upon assistant. There's an excellent dynamic between them, and it really shines through in all of the scenes that happen at Kara's workplace. She may be a hero in her secret life, but at work she's just an assistant, and is going to be ordered around, forced to buy coffees and sandwiches, and then almost fired. Calista Flockhart is a great addition to the cast, and the only major player we've met so far who doesn't know Kara's secret, so seeing how that develops going forward is going to be fun to watch.
