Supernatural: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode

Some friendless kids have imaginary friends. I’m not pointing any fingers, please don’t look at me. Nine-year-old Sam Winchester apparently belongs to that category. But unlike other unlucky bedwetters, Sam’s fake friend, Sully, is real. Sully is a Zanna, a creature that guides kids. It’s sad we only get to see him in one episode.

It’s partly because Sam broke the heart of his imaginary friend. Sully advises Sam to follow his passion. It is nothing original but it's good advice. The only other option for Sam is going into the family business. Sam is on the cusp of taking his friend's advice when his father John and his brother Dean take him on his first monster hunt.

From then on, the kid never looks back. Sam dumps Sully as quickly as sports stars do away with their starter girlfriends once supermodels start fluttering their eyelashes at them. We only see a still heartbroken Sully years later when he comes to ask the Winchesters to help him hunt down his friend’s killer. After that, we never see him again because why would we?
